This links opens the Catalogue for 1876-77 found on Hathitrust. The book lists the names of the students and instructors along with a description of the courses for the various departments. The end of the catalogue also includes students and instructors from the 1875-1876 school year since no catalogue was published that year. Students were primarily from North Carolina, along with a few students from South Carolina and Virginia.

This goal of this project is to name and, as much as possible, tell the stories of the enslaved men who built and maintained the State Capitol between 1833 and 1865.
