Scott Wesson will present “Church Records for Genealogy and Family History Studies” at 6:30 pm in the first floor Morgan Room at the High Point Public Library. Scott will explain how the documents maintained by local houses of worship can enrich our understanding of families and communities. He’ll use specific examples from his own investigations at the Southern Baptist Historical Collection at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem. These underutilized records sometimes contain details found nowhere else. No preregistration required.
