WCGS welcomes all who are interested in genealogy. Experienced genealogists recommend joining a society where you live for educational and support purposes, and another in the place where you are researching, for the exchange of research information.
You do not have to have ancestors from Wake County to be a member. We have many members who simply want the education and support a genealogical community provides.
WCGS meets virtually via Zoom on the fourth Tuesday of each month. You do not have to be a member to attend the WCGS monthly meetings. Please visit the Events page for the meeting schedule and details.
