DIY Photo Restoration and Creative Ways to Share Photos

4016 Carya Dr.
Raleigh, NC 27610

Speaker: Linda Hames, WCGS Member

Linda will share how she improved her old family photographs using Adobe Photoshop Elements to correct flaws and tears, crop, add contrast, etc.   She will also explain the photo transfer techniques she used to copy the restored photos onto T-shirts, coffee mugs, a tablecloth, and other items.  Linda will show several examples of framed wall art of her family photos, and she will bring the book which she recently wrote about her maternal grandparents -- "Willie and Minnie -- Pioneers."

With the holidays coming up, this talk will give you lots of ways to share your family photos, and hopefully get your family more interested in their family history.

Linda began working on genealogy seriously about six years ago.  About three years ago, she purchased Photoshop Elements with the main intent being to apply it to genealogy projects.  Originally from Michigan, most of her research has been in Ohio and Michigan.

All WCGS meetings are free and open to the public.  Bring a friend!  Refreshments will be served during social time after the presentation.
