Speaker: Diane Richard
The impact of the Civil War was keenly felt by many living from DE to TX. The Freedmen's Bureau Records are full of pertinent records, not just the records of freed slaves. While records of freedmen are found, a lot of information about ALL impoverished Southerners is also available. Additional information may be found in the attached outline. Ms. Richard has authored over 200 articles on genealogy. She has an M.E. and M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is principle at MosaicRPM.
Join us for a joint meeting of the African-American Historical and Genealogical Society and the Wake County Genealogical Society! After our speaker each organization will share a little bit about themselves. This meeting is free and open to the public.
