Women’s clubs became popular in the early 1900s as a means of social, educational, philanthropic, and political engagement. Surviving records provide information of cultural, biographical and genealogical significance. Using the records of the Olla Podrida Club of Raleigh as an example, we will explore their potential value and where to find them.
All WCGS meetings are free and open to the public. Bring a friend! Refreshments will be served during social time before the presentation. Presentation will start at 7:00.
